315 tons double-action stretching machine is a kind of hydraulic equipment used for deep drawing and forming of metal plates, mainly used for manufacturing stretching parts with complex shape and large depth.

The core difference between a double-action stretching machine (also known as a "double-action hydraulic press") and a single-action stretching machine lies in its double-cylinder drive design:

Main stretching cylinder: Provides downward stretching force to pull the sheet into the concave mold;

Crimping cylinder (or crimping ram): provides upward crimping force to prevent the edge of the plate from wrinkling during the stretching process (especially suitable for deep drawing or thin plates).

1. Body (frame)

Adopt frame structure (such as four-column, gantry or integral cast steel frame) to ensure high rigidity and resistance to deflected loads, and to withstand huge stresses in the stretching process.

The accuracy of the machine body is required to be high (e.g. guiding accuracy), so as to avoid the offset of the slider during stretching, which will lead to the scrapping of the parts.

2. Hydraulic system

Dual cylinder configuration: main tensioning cylinder (lower or upper) and crimping cylinder (usually integrated in the ram or independently set), powered by hydraulic pump station.

Hydraulic control: using proportional or servo valves, to achieve synchronous adjustment of crimping force and stretching force (such as crimping force with the dynamic change of the stretching stroke), to ensure the quality of molding.

3. Control system

PLC (programmable logic controller) as the core, with human-machine interface (HMI), can be realized:

Precise setting of stretching stroke and crimping force;

Automatic/manual mode switching;

Overload protection (e.g. pressure overrun, stroke limit);

Production data recording (e.g. times, parameters).

4. Mold system

Need to support the stretching die (concave die, convex die) and crimping ring, mold material is mostly alloy tool steel (such as Cr12MoV), the surface of the heat treatment or coating treatment (such as TD treatment), to improve wear resistance.

The mold mounting should be coordinated with the guiding system of the machine body to ensure the precision of mold closing.
